Meet Our Horses
Horses are at the heart of everyday life at the Corfu Equestrian Sports Centre. The facilities are home to 33 horses, including the Centre's own horses and privately owned horses stabled on its grounds.
Every horse has its own character, its own needs, and a story all its own.
Each horse's age, breed, training, physical condition, and temperament determine how it is exercised and cared for, as well as which activities it takes part in. Some horses are well-suited to a child's first contact with riding, helping young riders develop balance, trust, and confidence.
Others have the training and capability needed for more advanced lessons, systematic training, and competitive preparation. The right horse for each rider is selected by the coaches, based on the rider's age, experience level, physical build, skills, and educational or competitive goals.
The right match creates the conditions for safe training and harmonious cooperation. Through the photos and short profiles in this section, visitors can get to know the Centre's horses, their personalities, and their role in the Riding Academy and the Club's activities.
Privately owned horses stabled at the Centre may also be featured, with their owners' consent.
